Lead Planner Job Opening In Auckland – Now Hiring NPDL

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Lead Planner to assist our transport and container depot operations.

This key position supports our operations through effective planning and administration ensuring data is accurate, and operational teams are fully supported to deliver safe, efficient, and reliable services.

About the role:

As a subject matter expert and system super user, you will play a vital role across both depot and transport functions, maintaining process integrity, and supporting continuous improvement across our logistics network.

 This role is highly varied with the expectation you will support & cover both our Container Controllers & Dispatchers as required.

This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same.

You will be: 

  • Adaptable and able to keep on top of multiple tasks without feeling overwhelmed.
  • Someone who enjoys supporting others whilst maintaining responsibility for your own tasks and outcomes.
  • Confident to communicate over a Radio or with Truck Drivers.
  • Able to operate with a high level of flexibility, as there will be some travel between our sites at Airport Oaks and Panmure.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between transport and depot teams to drive service excellence and minimise disruptions.
  • Act as the super user for our Transport Management System & Depot Management System, providing troubleshooting, training, and first-line system support.

This is a full-time permanent role Monday to Friday based in Auckland, with rostered Saturdays.

You will have the right to live and work in New Zealand at the time of applying.

The successful candidate may be subject to undergo a Police Check and/or Pre-Employment Drug Test.


Qualifications

What you will bring to the table:

  • Around 3 years’ experience in logistics, or operations coordination.
  • Strong systems administration skills (Transport Management Systems, Oracle, ContainerChain or similar).
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot, etc).
  • Exceptional organisational and communication skills — able to juggle multiple moving parts with professionalism and accuracy.
  • A proactive, customer-focused attitude and a high level of integrity and accountability.
