Our proud history began in Australia in 1901 and in Aotearoa New Zealand, our involvement in the building industry dates back to 1888.Holcim Australia and New Zealand has been officially certified as a Top Employer 2025 by the Top Employers Institute, recognising our commitment to creating a world-class workplace where people thrive.About the roleThe Purpose of the role is to support the company's quality control process through the timely and accurate development, testing and reporting of physical laboratory services for testing of routine and external samples.Key responsibilitiesUnderstand the Quality Management System implicitly and comply fully with it.Promptly report and act on any serious product performance issues or problems.Inspect alleged defective test specimens to determine their test compliance.Inspect and report on inconsistencies in laboratory testing tolerances.Monitor, manage and comply with all ITPs, monitor quality controls and compliance testing to ensure frequencies are in accordance with ITPs and budgets.Identify and record any test procedure problems, and verify the implementation of solutions.Adhere to all IANZ testing, reporting and associated requirements.Maintain the laboratory and all associated testing equipment in accordance with Internal and IANZ requirements.Skills and experienceEngineering or Science Degree and/or Diploma (or extensive industry experience).
Preferably IANZ experience within a mechanical testing program.Proficient in: Microsoft Office Applications in particular Word and Excel, LIMS, SAP, Google Workspace.Physically fit and able to manage physically demanding work.Knowledge of concrete manufacturing process and technology advantageous.Knowledge of aggregates manufacturing process and technology advantageous.As part of a global company, Holcim offers long term career paths along with a variety of training and development opportunities.
