Emerge Aotearoa is a national provider of mental health, disability and addiction services that operates in 17 DHB areas and to cement our support within the community we are rolling out an exciting new and locally co-designed service - Kia Ora Ake !
Kia Ora Ake is a brand-new co-designed service, realized as part of the Mana Ake program.
It is a school based holistic wellbeing approach providing support to primary and intermediate school aged Tamariki (year 1 to 8), their whānau and schools.
Mō te tūnga | About the role
In this brand-new Kaimanaaki role at Kia Ora Ake , you will play a crucial role in supporting the Kia Ora Ake approach by working with schools, kura Māori, Kaimanaaki (non-clinical staff), workforce development agencies, Ministry of Education staff and the wider Kia Ora Ake Providers' Network.
Supported by the District Manager and Kaiārahi, you'll focus on 2 schools and work with Tamariki and whānau who require either mental and/or physical health, behavioural or learning needs support across primary and specialist health, education, and social services.
You'll be a key contact for those schools, partnering to assess and respond to Tamariki and whānau hinengaro wellbeing needs.
This can be through supporting the introduction of whole of school programmes, group or classroom level programmes, or individual work with Tamariki and their whānau.
