Join the Ministry of Justice as a Judge's Personal Assistant, where you'll provide vital administrative and secretarial support to District Court Judges, work closely with a diverse team, and play a key role in delivering accessible justice services across New Zealand.

You will:
* Manage Judges' diaries, correspondence, and meetings for smooth daily operations
* Prepare agendas, meeting materials, and clear minutes to support decision-making
* Handle confidential matters and act as the main point of contact for stakeholders
* Organise travel, events, and resources for Judges
* Support continuous improvement and innovation in administrative processes
* Build strong relationships across the Ministry and with key external partners

O pukenga/Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
* Relevant secretarial qualification and/or equivalent experience.
* Strong organisation, problem-solving, and prioritisation skills.
* Minimum accurate word processing speed of 70 words per minute.
* Excellent attention to detail, time management, and planning skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience in events management, general office duties, and working with a wide range of computer-based applications.
You will be working as part of a geographically spread team, so your ability to work independently and manage your workload with minimal supervision is essential.
Previous experience providing executive or personal assistance in a busy environment is required; legal or court experience would be advantageous.
Please note that this is a full-time, 40 hours per week, role based in Dunedin.

Utu a-tau/Salary
The salary band for this role is between $59,729 and $80,794 and starting salary will be based on skills and experience.
