Candidate Responsibilities: 

IT Systems & Security Administrator (ISSA) manages & secures organization’s ICT systems and networks.

ISSA is responsible for safeguarding an Information System’s assets and data from threat and breaches, ensuring business continuity and minimizing the risk of security incidents.

In addition to standard IT System Administration tasks, ISSA is also responsible for implementing and maintaining security measures to ensure the Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability (CIA) of an organization’s information assets and data

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform IT systems administration tasks including patching, ICT security, user management, and more

  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining security measures

  • Analysis of system and security event logs

  • Assist IT Security Manager (ITSM) and Cyber Security Specialist to maintain and improve security posture as per the security plan.

  • Security incident reporting and analysis

  • Perform security risk assessments

  • Assess security control effectiveness.

  • Perform regular security audits

  • Identify cyber security risks and implement security controls.

  • Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in cyber security / information technology OR equivalent experience.

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience as an IT Systems & Security Administrator.
    • Extensive experience in Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy
    • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, network devices and protocols

  • Experience with New Zealand Information Security Manual (NZISM) and Protective Security Requirements (PSR)
