Inventory Controller Job Opening In Auckland – Now Hiring New Zealand Government

In this position, you will be joining a well-established and collaborative team at Kauri Point.
Typically you will be:
* Maintaining an accurate inventory of stock.
* Purchase ordering for NZDF.
* Monitoring and replenishing stock levels.
* Managing existing and future orders with a range of local & external suppliers.
* Regularly liaising with stakeholders – depots, external suppliers and units.
Once you have undergone training and are up to speed, there is the option for flexible working arrangements, including working from home for 1-2 days per week.

Along with purchasing experience and ideally inventory management experience, the following key skills are required:
* Expertise in SAP IM, purchasing and reporting functionalities.
* Intermediate computer skills in the MS Office Suite.
* Ability to provide quality, efficient customer service.
* Self-motivated and highly organised.
* Good attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and relationship management skills are a must, as you will be responsible for nurturing working relationships with a range of key suppliers and internal customers.

* You must be a New Zealand citizen or you must hold New Zealand Permanent Residence or have a current New Zealand Residency Class Visa.
* At minimum, you must hold New Zealand Permanent Residence or have a current New Zealand Residency Class Visa, and you must be a citizen of and have lived in Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, United States of America or New Zealand continuously for the last five (5) years.
* You must have a five (5) year background history that can be verified and assessed appropriately by the NZ Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) to determine if you are suitable for a security clearance at this level.
If you do not meet the minimum criteria, unfortunately, your application will not be accepted.
