Urgent! Intermediate Data Analyst Job Opening In Auckland – Now Hiring Halter

Intermediate Data Analyst

Job description

At Halter, we know how much farmers care - for their animals and their pasture.

But the tools they rely on haven't kept up, and we're on a mission to change that.

Halter helps farmers make smarter decisions - fast.

We reckon good pasture management is the key to more productive and sustainable farms.

More grass.

Healthier soil.

Happier animals.

And more time back for the people doing the work.
We're on the hunt for a
world-class Data Analyst
to join our team! You'll work hand-in-hand with our Revenue Operations team and various stakeholders to build out insights and a modern reporting infrastructure to support our Go-To-Market (GTM) teams.

The role will specialise in applying advanced analytics to our rich and growing GTM data sets, a critical part of Halter's growth story as we expand into international markets.

Working hand in hand with our wider platform discipline, you'll help build the foundations of our GTM data stack, and contribute to the strategic direction and future of analytics at Halter.
The ideal candidate is product-minded and user-driven; you'll be working closely with internal stakeholders to deeply understand their needs - blending data from sales, marketing, customer support, enterprise resource planning, finance and more to help the business tell rich stories with data, quickly.

You'll bring technical expertise and critical thinking, working with GTM leaders to surface the right insights for key commercial decisions.
We're looking for people who are comfortable working in a dynamic environment where they will be challenged on a daily basis.

We want people who are obsessed with helping to deliver the best outcome for our farmers.

To succeed you will need to be able to learn quickly and utilise your own initiative while working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Please include a Cover Letter with your application!
Who are we looking for - these skills are essential for this role and reflect how we operate every day.
Expertise in data visualisation with business intelligence tools (ideally Tableau).
Deep knowledge of SQL and data modelling with dbt.
Experience with CI/CD tools like Github.
Experienced with Python (or other programming language) for automation EG using Airflow for scheduled reports or data integrations.
Knowledge or interest in collaborating to develop an analytics AI agent, we're already thinking about the future of insights as a product for Halter.
Bonus things you could bring along to the role - These are not essential for you to apply
Knowledge of statistical methods and/or machine learning for predictive analytics.
Any experience with one or more of our GTM platforms - Salesforce, Hubspot (marketing automation), Intercom (customer support), Netsuite, Linear.
What your day could look like
Scope, develop and publish business intelligence reports within our Tableau reporting suite for a wide range of stakeholders.
Work alongside GTM leaders to help define the metrics and insights needed to enable data driven decision making.
Write high quality data models within our dbt environment.
Collaborate with data engineering to build automation to surface timely and accurate data to the right people.
Maintain high levels of communication with your team and others about product requirements, timelines, risks, and priorities.
Stay up-to-date with your area of expertise and ensure the team is aware of new technological advances and better ways of working.
And finally, this is a start-up, so you'll also be rolling your sleeves up and helping with whatever is required to succeed in our mission, knowing that your whole organisation is with you doing the same.
