About the Role
We have a six month, fixed term opportunity for an Integration Centre Technician to support our team in delivering a large contract.
Our team build, configure and install all hardware and software into Westcon Groups products before being shipped to our customers and end users.
Responsibilities
Build, configure, and install hardware from manufacturers in the Westcon Group vendor portfolio
Install hardware and software/IOS into vendors' kit
Ensure all kit builds are completed as per the specified order
Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications
Read technical manuals, confer with users, and conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems
Provide a high level of customer service and problem solving with all clients in a constructive and professional manner
Develop training materials and procedures, and/or train users in the proper use of hardware and software
Qualifications / Requirements
Experience working with Cisco and Palo Alto products an advantage
Basic industry recognised certification preferred e.g. CCNA, CCNP
Detailed technical knowledge and understanding of one or more of the following - Data Networks, Voice Networks, Convergence, Security
Strong troubleshooting skills
Demonstrated ability to follow customer specific SOPs and staging document to ensure consistency in task execution
Highly organised and efficient, with a proven capacity to remain focused and productive under pressure
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build strong relationships quickly and effectively over the phone and strong written communication skills
Previous experience in a customer service/delivery role/integration centre
Excellent administrative skills with attention to detail, proactive follow-up and efficient time management
General computer literacy and ability to use Office programs such as Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word and understanding of Unix
