Opportunity

Due to a pending retirement, we are seeking a suitably skilled andexperienced Instrument Technician to join the Team at our Penrose Mill, in Auckland.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, youwill ideally be an Industrial Instrument Technician or Electrician who is experienced in projectinstallation and / or site maintenance work, with the ability to diagnose andrepair faults or breakdowns.

KeyResponsibilities

  • Ensure all electrical / instrumentation maintenance work andtesting is carried out to the highest standards of safety, quality and service
  • Liaise with supervisor and managers to ensure work targetsachieved
  • Ensure all relevant documentation is completed accurately and ontime
  • Promote and support safe work practices in everything you do
  • Flexible and able to participate in providing after hours support
  • About you

  • Relevant Industrial Instrumentation qualifications
  • Trade Certificate or National Certificate inElectrical Engineering Level 4
  • Current, limited electrical registration asa minimum
  • Experience with pneumatic controls andvalve positioners
  • Familiar with PLCs and DCS systems
  • Hazardous area installation andindustrial maintenance experience desirable
  • Able to build and maintain strong relationships to work as part ofa team or independently
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Proficient use of MS Office.
