As an Infrastructure Engineer , your role is crucial in ensuring our internal IT systems provide highly available, secure, and efficient services to all internal Orion Health teams.

You will be orchestrating an ecosystem within the business that has not just a goal, but a commitment to advancing healthcare technology.

You’ll be at the forefront of ensuring seamless IT operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving continuous improvement in infrastructure and systems.

What will you be doing?

  • Supporting various platforms, including on-premise Linux and Windows servers, cloud-based IaaS, and cloud-based SaaS.

  • Improving IT infrastructure reliability and security, decreasing outages, and automating systems wherever possible.

  • Architecting, securing, and modernising our internal and cloud network cost-efficiently.

  • Providing IT infrastructure and system support, resolving IT support and project tickets, and ensuring routine IT maintenance activities are completed effectively.

  • Identifying, recording, and mitigating IT service risks while participating in the 24x7 on-call rotation.

  • Working closely with the Security and Assurance team to identify security risks and implement, maintain, and monitor appropriate security measures.

  • Playing a key role in project implementations and driving continuous improvement of IT processes and services.

What will you bring to the role?

  • Experience: You have 2+ years’ experience working in an in-depth, multi-platform on-prem and cloud environment.

  • Skills: You are a natural when it comes to Windows Server administration, networking (analytics, troubleshooting, switching, routing, firewalls, security), and database management (PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server).

    You also have expertise in scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell), version control (Git), and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).

    Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, monitoring tools like Grafana and Prometheus, and cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.

  • Characteristics: Being proactive and delivery-focused, you make high-quality decisions and act with pace and persistence, turning strategy into results.

    You’ll be well-versed in establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and able to adapt your communication style dependent on your audience.

    Your strong troubleshooting skills and can-do attitude will set you apart as a problem solver who thrives in complex environments.
