Do you want to impact and influence the cyber security of New Zealand, work with intelligence, and be part of great collaborative culture?
The Policy and Research Unit in the National Cyber Security Centre is recruiting for emerging and senior information security advisors who want to join our mission to uplift the cyber security of the whole economy and our Pacific partners.
These roles are a great opportunity for growing and expanding your information security capabilities within New Zealand's lead cyber security agency.
In the role you will work collaboratively with other highly skilled information security experts, policy analysts and intelligence analysts to ensure New Zealand's cyber security advice reflects the threat environment and effectively serves the needs of audiences across the economy and the pacific.
NCSC's cybersecurity leadership role extends from advice to individuals and small businesses to government organisations, critical infrastructure and the Pacific.
We provide advice and guidance across a range of subjects including artificial intelligence, post-quantum cryptography, and operational technology.
Some key products include the New Zealand Information Security Manual, Government's Cyber Security Minimum Standards and our Cyber Security Framework.

Before you apply
Working within our unique environment means we have to ensure you're eligible for employment.
You must:
* Have been a New Zealand Citizen for at least 10 years
OR
Hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of the UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years
* Be eligible to obtain a Top Secret Special (TSS) security clearance
* Ordinarily, this means you'll have a 15 year checkable background in countries NZSIS Vetting can make meaningful and reliable checks.
