Elements of the role may require travel.This role will involve working within the Housing First service.
The wrap-around community housing-based service will have a strong focus on transition, recovery and wellness.You will support some of the most vulnerable members of our community seeking a second chance and the opportunity for to grow, rebuild, and give back to their whanau and wider community.You will be part of an exciting service that is innovating and growing, where new ideas are encouraged and new solutions are the norm!
ResponsibilitiesWork within the Housing First service with a wrap-around community housing-based approach focused on transition, recovery and wellness.Support vulnerable individuals to access housing, health and social services to live well.Engage with diverse communities with empathy, compassion and respect; build credibility and strong working relationships.Maintain accurate records and manage information with attention to detail; ability to work at pace and under pressure.QualificationsMust hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognized equivalent.
Alternatively, you will commence study towards this within six months of starting your employment with LinkPeople.Strong communication and relationship-building skills; sound problem solving and conflict resolution abilities.Empathy and compassion, with the ability to work respectfully with diverse communities.Ability to work at pace and flourish under pressure; excellent attention to detail and proficiency in record keeping.Knowledge of and commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi and working with Maori.A full New Zealand driving license is essential.Other informationClosing Date | Ra Katinga: 8 October 2025.
