Job description

CARTERS East Tamaki is seeking an experienced HIAB driver to deliver building materials to our valued trade customers on construction sites across the East Auckland and surrounding areas.

In this active and physical role, you will be responsible for safely loading orders on your HIAB truck then off-load product on site while navigating often challenging accessways.

Your adaptability to different situations will be key as you may also need to provide support in the yard, operating a forklift to load products and providing exceptional customer service to our trade customers.

In this role you will need to:


  • Efficiently load and deliver orders
  • Navigate various residential and commercial construction sites with differing ground conditions
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all, whether on-site or off-site
  • Support the yard team when required to load and unload delivery vans and trucks

  • About you


  • A valid FULL CLASS 4/5 License essential, Hiab licence and experience desirable
  • Forklift F Endorsed Licence with OSH Certificate essential
  • Someone who values teamwork and approaches tasks with a positive mindset.
  • Entry-level computer skills
  • Physically fit
  • Building industry knowledge is beneficial
