About the Roles
* Permanent * Part timeWe are seeking experienced Health Care Assistant with good communication and interpersonal skills to join our team in the Emergency Department at Waitakere Shore Hospital.
Following training and sign off, these roles may include extended responsibilities such as performing phlebotomy, ECGs, point-of-care testing, and monitoring vital signs under the supervision of registered nurses.
These positions are rostered Monday - Sunday, therefore you must be prepared to work all shifts this includes nights and weekends.
About the Team/Service/ Location
You are expected to work well in a team, have excellent customer service skills and customer service practices, uphold confidentiality and discretion, good command of oral and written English and knowledge and understanding of the health care system.
About you
To be considered we will need the following:
* Excellent customer service skills * A minimum level 3, NZQA Qualification * At least 2 years experience working in an acute environment * Knowledge and understanding of the healthcare system * Someone who thrives in high energy environments and can prioritise effectively * A New Zealand Citizen or Resident Working at Health New Zealand
