Add expected salary to your profile for insightsPGG Wrightson Limited (PGW) is a leading provider to the primary sector, offering a wide range of products, services and solutions to growers, farmers and processors in New Zealand.With our long-standing Corporate Operations Manager heading into a well-earned retirement, we're looking for a strategic and results-driven Group Operations Manager to lead and transform our operational procurement functions - non-trade procurement, fleet and property.Reporting to the General Manager Corporate Affairs, this is a pivotal role where you'll drive innovation, deliver measurable savings and align operations with PGW's strategic goals.What you'll be doing:Leading strategic procurement transformation across non-trade procurement, fleet and property functionsDriving operational efficiency, cost reduction and supplier performance improvementsBuilding team capability and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvementEmbedding governance frameworks to manage risk, ensure compliance and prevent value leakagePartnering with business units and the Executive Leadership Team to deliver enterprise-wide valueOverseeing supplier relationship management, fleet optimisation and property investment planningChampioning sustainability and ESG integration across operational strategies.What you'll bring:10 plus years' experience in procurement-related and commercial or project management rolesProven leadership in procurement operationsStrong negotiation, stakeholder engagement and supplier management skillsDemonstrated ability to deliver measurable commercial outcomes and operational efficienciesExperience embedding analytics, reporting and digital tools to improve decision-makingDeep understanding of strategic procurement, supplier performance and governanceKnowledge of sustainability and ESG principles and how to apply them in operational strategyAbility to lead high-performing teams and foster a culture aligned with PGW's values.Why PGW?
