We're looking for people to joinour team.About the roleThisis the perfect role if you're ready to take your first step into engineeringand want to work on projects that make a visible difference in your community.Asa graduate, you'll get hands-on experience across a wide range of roading anddrainage projects while receiving support and mentoring from senior engineers.You'll:Build strongrelationships with contractors and work alongside them in the field.Learn toinspect and monitor maintenance, resurfacing, vegetation, and construction projectsto ensure they meet Council standards.Contributeto planning, sequencing, and delivering works programmes.Monitorrisks to scope, time, and budget, and report findings with evidence.Supportcompliance by auditing health and safety practices and completing TrafficManagement (TTM) audits.Help keepour asset data and records up to date.Provideadvice and responses to community and elected member queries about roadingissues.Grow yourability to give technical guidance on roading standards and reinstatement work.Thisis a fixed term – full-time role until 15 December ****.About youWe'reafter a graduate engineer who is:Recentlyqualified with a bachelor level in Civil Engineering or a related field.Eager tolearn and develop technical expertise in roading and drainage.Confidentworking with contractors and building positive professional relationships.Detail-focused,with an eye for quality, compliance, and safety.A goodcommunicator – both in the field and in the office.A full NZdrivers licence holderWhat you need to do nowApply now to kickstartyour engineering career and help shape the future of our roads andinfrastructure.
