Our Business Services team is here to make sure that Data and Digital thrive like a well-oiled machine.

We're the ones who help set the course, gather resources, and make sure things run smoothly - think of us as the ultimate planners and communicators, making sure everyone is on the same page!

We're like the superhero support squad for Data and Digital.

From keeping everyone in the loop through top-notch communication (we're buddies with the Communication and Engagement team) to making sure the right people are in the right places (our friends in People and Culture are our partners here), we've got it all covered.

We've got a handle on best practices, training, and making sure everyone's got the right skills.

Plus, we're the guardians of risk management and privacy – keeping things safe and sound in the world of Data and Digital is our specialty.

Mōu | About you

As our Governance Lead/Advisor, you will play a crucial part of our national Te Whatu Ora Data & Digital Design Councils and their subgroups.

You will be the driving force behind their smooth operation, ensuring effective governance, decision-making, and alignment with our strategic goals.

Imagine leading the way in planning exciting agendas and providing essential secretariat support.

You'll be tracking actions, crafting high-quality reports, and ensuring top-notch decision-making materials.

Your expertise will be the backbone of these processes.

Your role also involves guiding and offering feedback to ensure top-notch meeting materials.

We want our meeting packs to be first-rate, supporting efficient decision-making.

As a key player, you'll oversee various governance tasks, ensuring our policies and obligations are met.

Your role will also include onboarding new members and providing backup for peers.

Your insights will be crucial for our Senior Leadership Team and Executive Leadership Team submissions.

With your expertise, we'll continuously improve our practices, and you will help us align with our equity priorities and Treaty of Waitangi obligations.

Collaboration is at the heart of what we do.

You will promote collaboration and innovation on a national and international scale, helping us shape our Data & Digital Roadmap, as well as driving our communications with stakeholders.

You will be our risk watchdog, highlighting both strategic and operational risks.

Working closely with various teams, your positive relationships will be invaluable.

Preference will be given to applications of significantly affected Kaimahi through the change process.

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in governance and decision support role(s)
  • Proven ability to facilitate, influence and connect people together to resolve complex issues and deliver actionable outcomes 
  • Proven ability to manage ambiguity comfortably and can decide to take action without having the total picture
  • Proven ability to deliver to time-critical deadlines 
  • Experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action 
  • Experience of the New Zealand health system is highly desirable
