We are seeking a skilled and motivated GIS Administrator to join our team at Hauraki District Council.
As a GIS administrator, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining our GIS infrastructure and ensuring its efficient operation.

Responsibilities:
Administer and maintain the GIS datasets, ensuring data integrity, security and availability. Perform regular updates and maintenance of GIS software, tools, and applications to ensure optimal performance. Provide technical support and training to end users on GIS software, tools and applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather GIS requirements. Create, manage and update spatial data layers, including data acquisition, conversion, manipulation and quality control. Conduct spatial analysis and generate maps, reports and visualisations to support business planning, projects and initiatives. Stay up to date with the latest GIS trends, technologies and advancements and make recommendations for their implementation. About you:
Tertiary degree in GIS or related discipline Proven experience as a GIS Administrator or similar role Proficiency in the use of GIS software Strong understanding of spatial databases Excellent problem solving and analytical skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks with attention to detail Join our team and be part of an organisation that values innovation, collaboration and professional growth
The salary range for this role is between $75,000 and $88,000 per annum based on your relevant experience and competencies.
