Peppers Beacon is located a short five-minute walk from the centre of Queenstown.

With uninterrupted lake front views of Lake Wakatipu and stunning mountain ranges, Peppers Beacon offers a range of accommodation from hotel style rooms to large multi-level apartments and a breakfast room for guests to start their day.

As General Manager of Peppers Beacon Queenstown, you will have a key responsibility in leading the resort toward renewed success, focusing on strategies that drive consistent profitability and sustainable growth, as well as managing significant Capital Expenditure Projects over the next 18 months.

Overseeing daily operations, you will ensure the seamless function of every department while inspiring and leading a close-knit team dedicated to delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Key Requirements

  • Past experience working with body corporate in a strata or MLR setting
  • Demonstrated success as a hotel/ resort General Manager or equivalent leadership role, with a strong understanding of property operations

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage all facets of the property including strategic leadership, commercial performance, recruiting & training, customer service and achievement of financial targets
  • Be responsible for leading and developing your team
  • Drive change and improvements in performance and implement strategies in line with business objectives
  • Leverage your influential presence to establish and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Maintain excellent product and service standards whilst maximising revenue and balancing expenses
  • Focus on developing a team that is engaged in driving a positive customer sentiment
  • Act as a liaison within the local community, representing Accor and fostering community engagement

  • Demonstrate prior General Manager experience and a deep understanding across a range of departments and stakeholder management
