About the role
As a Fund Accounting Specialist in our Finance team, you’ll play a key role in preparing various fund accounting deliverables as well as reviewing those prepared by the Fund Accounting team including but not limited to, financial statements, investor fund updates, month-end close, quarterly returns and other unit pricing related tasks.
You’ll bring fresh perspectives and provide support to other Fund Accounting Specialists, the Unit Pricing Manager and Financial Controller during a period of operating model discovery in the Funds Management business.

- What will your day look like?
As a Fund Accounting Specialist, you will:
Help ensure the Funds Management Business Unit meets its internal and external regulatory reporting requirements.Be involved in both a preparer and reviewer capacity and be fluid in supporting the team during our Funds Management journey.Ensure compliance with ANZ’s unit pricing, business process guidelines and accounting policies, including journal preparation, month-end activities, and financial integrity checks.Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders (Investment Operations, Investment Management, Business Governance & Controls) to meet service expectations.Collaborate with other management functions to facilitate the exchange of information supporting unit pricing and fund accounting services.Ōu Pūkenga?

To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
A Chartered Accountant or equivalent qualificationExperience in or familiarity with unit pricing or a managed funds environmentA good understanding of accounting recognition, standards and double entriesStrong initiative and ability to work independently to complete tasksWell-developed analytical skills and experience reviewing work of othersClear and effective written and verbal communicationAbility to build open, collaborative working relationships with a range of stakeholders and team members with varying levels of professional experienceExcellent time management and ability to handle competing priorities professionally You’re not expected to have % of these skills.
