Your Role
Contribute to the profitable development of Financial Lines business within New Zealand in conjunction with the Underwriting Manager - Management Liability and Financial Institutions.

Ensure achievement of profitable growth objectives.

Your responsibilities:

  • Review, analyse, accept or reject new business and allocated renewal risks within specialised lines of business.
  • Assist with maintenance of the Financial Lines portfolio including collation of necessary business reports.

  • Visit producers, clients and promote Chubb coverages, products and services.

  • Maintain timely liaison with producers to obtain necessary underwriting information, promote satisfactory service relationship and encourage the submission of targeted business.
  • Provide technical and underwriting support to Underwriting Manager - Management Liability and Financial Institutions as required.
  • Carry out administrative tasks including but not limited to; policy wording and certificate of insurance checks, underwriting system updates, investigation of billing queries, and any other similar duties as may be required 
  • Perform special projects and other related duties as assigned.
  • Assist with technical review of wordings and coverages, products and services.

  • Coordinate accounts on a whole of account basis with other product lines as appropriate.
  • Recommend changes to standard operating procedures as necessary.

  • Produce reports and projects on an ad hoc basis for the Underwriting Manager - Management Liability and Financial Institutions .
     
  • At least 1 year of experience in Management Liability and D&O, with skills in underwriting, marketing, sales, product management, or financial analysis.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients, producers, and colleagues at all levels.
  • Well-organised and able to work independently using automated tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, email, and relevant software.
  • Solid business knowledge, supported by tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
  • Proven ability to achieve profit targets and support business growth.
  • Understands market trends and identifies new opportunities for products and services.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with key external partners.
  • Creative and solutions-focused, aiming to maximise business potential.
  • Shows drive, leadership, initiative, and ownership of objectives.
  • Strategic thinker with thorough planning and information gathering skills.
  • Persuasive and skilled at building customer relationships.
  • Promotes teamwork and maintains a professional approach.
  • Tertiary qualification in business or insurance required; ANZIIF qualification preferred
