The company delivers hospital, community, outpatient and primary care clinical services to the residents of the Clutha District.The RoleReporting to the CEO the position is a key role that will provide strategic and operational leadership across finance, compliance, systems, contract management and payroll.Key ResponsibilitiesSupported by an Accounts Administrator, Quality and Risk Management, Human Resources and IT the position holder will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following principal responsibilities:Lead all finance operations, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, audit, and payrollDeliver comprehensive and fit for purpose monthly management reports in a timely manner to the CEO and Board of DirectorsLiaise with the company's external accounting provider in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reportsDeliver financial modelling, cost analysis, and performance insights to support strategic decision-makingOversee cash flow management, investment tracking, and efficient use of resourcesManage company contracts & reporting, creditors & debtor processes, bank reconciliations, tax and legislative requirements, and payroll accuracyDrive continuous improvement, system innovation, and financial process automationCollaborate with operational managers on financial planning and KPI reportingContribute to risk management, compliance, and strategic safeguardingLeadership & Business PartnershipLead and develop a small finance team, promoting a collaborative and accountable culture.Deliver timely financial insights to the CEO and senior leadership team.Participate in strategic planning, investment analysis, and commercial reviews.Support health, safety and compliance initiatives as part of broader business culture.Engage with the company's Board and Finance Risk and Audit Committee on financial matters as and when appropriateSystems & Process ImprovementStandardise and improve financial processes and internal controls across the business.Build and maintain financial models for scenario planning and business cases.Governance & ComplianceEnsure compliance with all internal policies and procedures.Drive and comply with the various accounting principles, tax and HR related legislation and reporting requirements that have an impact on the business.Develop and uphold financial SOPs, particularly in asset, inventory, and cash-flow management.About YouWe are looking for a results-driven and collaborative finance professional who combines strong technical expertise with commercial acumen and a pragmatic, hands-on approach.
