To provide efficient and effective administrative support to the Financial Services Department.
Reporting to the CFO this role will be required to provide various secretarial and administration support and to enable cross organisational communication between groups and departments.

This role requires someone who can demonstrate the ability to perform the following competencies:
Undertake support services for the CFO in respect of coordination activities e.g. meetings, diary and email management, information coordination, performance reporting, per agreed guidelines.
Taking of minutes, arranging meetings and collation of agendas as required across the Financial Services team.
Ensure all archiving and filing is kept current.
Answering telephones and responding to general enquiries. Continually striving to maintain and improve processes and procedures within the Finance department.
Provide input to the continual improvement of services. Support relevant Finance staff in the publication of reports and information, including publication of information on the Internet and Intranet sites.
Assisting in the review of all reports for grammatical and punctuation errors.
Ensuring that word processing requirements in respect of reports, procedures and correspondence is undertaken efficiently, effectively, accurately and to expectation.
Ensure Finance Services publications are maintained, updated and kept current.
Monitoring and responding to requests for Service. Some of the important personal attributes for this role are:
Proven experience in a senior support services role The ability to clearly convey thoughts and ideas effectively.
This may include listening, interpreting, formulating and delivering verbal, non-verbal, and written and/or electronically Proven written and oral communication skills Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately with customers, elected members and other stakeholders Proven office administration experience Experience in the Use of Microsoft Office applications [Excel, Word, PowerPoint,] Pro-active in the introduction of improvements to systems, processes and procedures Practical experience in drafting professionally pitched memorandums and responses to enquiries. The salary for this position is Grade 11 within Council's salary structure ($54,572 - $64,202 per annum) dependent on qualifications and experience, plus Kiwi Saver.
