Contract Management Performance Analyst

  • Exciting opportunity to evolve the new asset management model

  • Work with our neighbours in the Pacific on important mahi

  • Fixed term opportunity to June 6

  • Full-time Wellington based
  • Play an integral part of continuing to embed and evolve the new asset management model into the Ministry.

    About the role - Kōrero mō te tūranga

    The role has been deliberately structured to complement the services (strategy, data management, planning, in-country management, delivery of trades, training and development and financial performance) that an outsourced provider will bring and as such a key area of responsibility will be to drive performance improvement of both Downer and MFAT to ensure the sustainable and enduring success of the new arrangement.

  • Support the Facilities Management (FM) Performance Manager to ensure that comprehensive contract management and reporting systems are in place and complied.

  • Undertake analysis and reporting of changes in the nominated commercial contract that will include potential financial impacts.

  • Compile and calculate monthly measures of contractor performance.

  • Act as a subject matter expert for contract analysis and asset performance measurement.

    Please note the total remuneration is inclusive of our 3% KiwiSaver employer contribution.

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.


  • Proven ability to build strong relationships across diverse groups.

  • Must have experience in developing and producing governance papers and reports.

  • Must have strong financial, budget management and data analytic skills.

  • Must have excellent contract administration experience, including developing contract notices and tracking contract changes.

  • Understanding of The Treaty of Waitangi/Te Tiriti, Te Reo Māori and Māori customs and protocols would be beneficial.
