Temp Services is an in-house solution for temporary staffing across the University of Auckland.

We are seeking individuals with a positive attitude, resilience, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

We are currently interested in expressions of interest from candidates experienced in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Assistant Accountant, and Credit Control .

Assignments can range from 6 weeks to 6 months across various faculties.

Our central teams perform operational functions, consolidating high-volume finance transactional activities related to purchasing and supply of goods and services, including billing and revenue collection for student fees, research, faculties, and divisions.

Salary Bands

  • Accounts Payable/Receivable: $50,700 to $63,900 depending on experience and qualifications
  • Credit Control/Assistant Accountant: $68,600 to $84,970 depending on experience and qualifications
  • Payroll: $62,401 to $72,740 depending on experience and qualifications

About You

You should be comfortable handling large volumes of invoices, detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills, sound knowledge of NZ legislation, and a relevant tertiary degree.

A customer-centric mindset, continuous improvement focus, intermediate Excel skills, and being tech-savvy are essential.

  • Experience in end-to-end AP/AR/Credit Control, Assistant Accountant, & Payroll
  • Experience in large, complex organizations
  • Strong knowledge of NZ legislation and statutory requirements
  • IRD & ACC knowledge is advantageous
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines in high-pressure environments
  • Experience with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft is advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Self-directed, proactive, and team-oriented
  • High attention to detail and data entry skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

Relevant qualification, CA, or working towards one.
