Job description

Contract role working from home, on site or a combination.

This niche construction company has made a strong entry into the Queenstown market.

Halfway through a high-end apartment project, they’re well-positioned for continued growth in the region.

Their experienced, cohesive site-based team is relaxed, supportive, and genuinely committed to delivering quality work in a safe, collaborative, and team-focused environment.

Work from Home, On Site, or a Mix
This is an initial 6-month contract role with flexible working arrangements.

You can work from the site office, from home, or a mix of both with weekly site visits.

As the workload ramps up, your focus will be on managing the busy day-to-day QS tasks, wherever you work from.


The Role

  • Manage contract administration across multiple trades, including variations, payment claims, and monthly reporting.

  • Support estimating and tendering of new work as projects progress.

  • Assist the business in improving commercial systems and processes.
  • The Ideal Candidate

  • Quantity Surveying qualification.

  • Several years’ experience as a QS in New Zealand.

  • Strong knowledge of NZ contracts and construction methods.

  • Proficient in Excel and Word; experience with Procore or CostX is a plus.

  • Self-motivated and able to work autonomously.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Down-to-earth, relaxed personality.
