You'll be on the front line of our emergency response capability.
Working closely with Orion and internal teams, you'll ensure that faults on the electrical network are responded to swiftly and efficiently—helping maintain security of supply and protecting critical infrastructure.You'll be responsible for coordinating field resources, overseeing site audits, and managing communications to ensure jobs are delivered to the highest standard.
This is a role that requires flexibility and the ability to work outside standard hours, including evenings and weekends, particularly during emergency events.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate resources to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and on timeLiaise with Orion and other affected stakeholders to keep works progressing smoothlyEnsure network operating procedures are correctly followedVerify that dispatched teams are qualified and competent for their assigned tasksProactively identify and support further maintenance work opportunitiesMaintain accurate job documentation and ensure all communications are recordedCollaborate with Orion on improvements to customer requirements and implementation in the fieldConduct onsite checks and audits—including out-of-hours visits—to ensure compliance with contract standardsAnalyse job performance and collaborate with Field Team Managers and Emergency Works Manager to drive improvementsSubmit accurate, timely reports and documentation to Orion via the Emergency WorksWhat you'll bringStrong organisational and coordination skillsA solutions-focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvementExperience in the utilities or electrical network industry is preferredRelevant electrical supply industry technical trade experience with a working knowledge in at least one of the fields of electrical, line mechanic or cable jointingKnowledge of field operations and compliance requirements is advantageousStrong communication skills to liaise with clients, suppliers and internal teams (both verbal and written).
Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, etc.).
