OverviewVessev is creating a new era of how we move on water, and we need an Electronics Engineer to join our Vessel Controls team.
The role will be fast-paced and demanding and exceptionally rewarding for the right person.
Our Vessel Controls team are responsible for the firmware, algorithms, modelling, and simulation that allows our vessels to take flight on high-performance embedded platforms.
This role exists to help us build our next generation of high-performance embedded and power distribution systems onboard our flagship VS-9 vessels and beyond.
You're likely someone who has experience from the aerospace, defense, or automotive industries with a product development background using Altium, LTspice, or equivalent to design and debug electronic designs.
Familiarity with embedded systems and low-level software languages would also be an advantage.
You do not need to be an expert in marine, hydrofoiling, or electric vehicles, but you do need to be intelligent, willing to muck-in, creative, and curious.

Our dream is for you to create something that you are insanely proud of.Requirements (you do not need to meet every requirement to apply)Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent.5+ years of relevant industry experience designing and debugging electronic designs.Good taste in developing clean, effective tools to automate routine work.Strong teamwork skills with an ability to effectively interact and work with other engineering disciplines.Proactive, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and open working in a fast-paced startup environment.

ResponsibilitiesDesign and validate PCB designs for Vessev's embedded systems.Ownership of the electronics lifecycle, from initial specification and circuit design through to production.Work closely with the Vessel Controls team and manufacturing engineers to bring designs from prototype to production.Translate system architecture into detailed circuit and PCB designs for core components.
Experience with STM-based microprocessors would be an advantage.Execute rigorous circuit simulation (e.g., SPICE), tolerance analysis, and comprehensive validation testing to guarantee design robustness and performance under all operating conditions.Create designs that conform with international certification standards.
Familiarity with marine safety and EMC standards (e.g., DNV, Lloyds) would be an advantage.Hands-on skills with prototyping and debugging electrical circuits in Vessev's electrical lab.Creation of test plans and documentation in support of your designs.
