About the role

Work in a fast-paced environment as part of the State based Maintenance Program team where no two days are the same! This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and safety-focused Electrical Tradesperson, with industrial experience to join our dynamic team at the InfraBuild Reinforcing branch located in Forrestfield, WA.

 
Reporting to the State Maintenance Manager, you will work as part of a team to execute planned preventive and breakdown maintenance throughout the state across 13 sites.

The ideal candidate will be provided a relocation package.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Ensuring a safe workplace, identifying, and addressing risks appropriately and demonstrating positive safety behavior
  • Executing maintenance activities according to the weekly work schedule and unscheduled work as required
  • Executing preventative electrical maintenance inspections, machine installations & relocations, switch board upgrades, machine and safety upgrades
  • Assisting in the development and enhancing task-lists, work procedures and instructions

You are someone who has a solid work ethic, takes initiative, enjoys problem solving and have excellent communication, time management & organisational skills.

 

You will also have:

  • An Electrical trade qualification
  • Experience in fault-finding activities on complex, heavy industrial equipment
  • Demonstrated experience of breakdown, repair and preventative maintenance inspections in a similar industry
  • Proven history working on overhead cranes i.e. fault finding, breakdowns, repairs & maintenance
  • Ability to work in a team environment that puts people and safety first
  • Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret Electrical, mechanical and pneumatic and hydraulic drawings
  • Demonstrate ability to contribute, influence and make informed technical decisions
  • EWP ticket

    
Experience in the following, ideally within a heavy industry, highly regarded:

  • Post trade courses
  • PLC control systems
  • SAP or equivalent
  • Safety Systems
  • HMI and Scada

* Permanent, full-time role, with a view to a rotating shift roster once initial training has been completed with opportunity for overtime.

 The role will involve travel depending on jobs, flexibility is essential.
