Electrical & Control Engineer Job Opening In Auckland – Now Hiring E&D Recruiters


Job description

Responsibilities

:

  • Write safety documentation and perform risk assessments in accordance with ISO -1.

  • Validate safety systems using tools like SISTEMA and ensure compliance with required Performance Levels (PLr).

  • Develop and implement safety control systems integrating PLCs with safety relays and sensors.

  • Write and test PLC programs for Allen-Bradley controllers using ladder logic, structured text, and C-like logic where applicable.

  • Develop algorithms for safety-critical functions, including safe stopping distances, system monitoring, and fault handling.

  • Create detailed electrical schematics for machine control and safety circuits using CAD tools.

  • Perform subsystem-level testing, validation, and debugging for both safety and operational functions.

  • Integrate and test IFM industrial sensors, battery monitoring systems, and high-current motors.

  • Work with Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems, including battery-powered equipment and electric drivetrains.

  • Support system-level commissioning, both in-house and in the field, with strong hands-on troubleshooting skills.

  • Interface with a wide range of communication protocols, including CAN bus, J9, Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP/RTU, etc.
