As a regional council, we are responsible for flood protection, public transport, civil defence, and more.About the RoleAs Senior Project Manager – Digital Solutions, you'll lead digital initiatives that strengthen our IT foundations and deliver value across the organisation.
This role is pivotal in driving our Digital Solutions Roadmap and lifting project-management capability.You'll manage complex projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies, engage stakeholders, and ensure robust governance and reporting for executive decision-making.Your Key Focus AreasProgramme & Resource Planning: Develop and embed processes for resource allocation, milestone planning, and dependency management within the Digital Solutions group.Reporting & Insights: Design and implement dashboards and reporting structures to support planning and decision-making.IT foundational programme projects: Lead the planning and delivery of a major migration for our consents and compliance system, ensuring strong governance, risk management and successful execution.ExperienceAt least 8 years' experience in project managementStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skillsExpertise in Agile and Waterfall methodologiesPrince2 or PMI certification (or equivalent experience)Ability to mentor and build capability within teamsWorking at Environment CanterburyKaitiakitanga (stewardship)Pononga (integrity)Manaakitanga (people first)Whanaungatanga (collaboration)Maiatanga (can do)We understand and embrace a diverse workforce; this diversity will enable us to better serve our people, our community, and our greatest taonga, the environment.
