About the Role
Are you a Digital Architect ready to drive change?
Join us to help modernise New Zealand’s aviation systems.
We’re undertaking a major digital transformation and need a forward-thinking architect to design and deliver the next generation of infrastructure and systems.
You’ll collaborate with regulatory teams and industry partners to make aviation safer, smarter, and more connected.
The salary band for the Digital Architect starts at $136,939 to $168,191.
Starting salaries are to be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, as well as internal relativities.
What you’ll be doing
* Lead the design of scalable, secure, and future-ready digital solutions.
* Drive network transformation (SD-WAN, SASE) and cloud migration to Azure.
* Enhance and optimise hybrid infrastructure.
* Translate business requirements into practical, cost-effective digital solutions.
* Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and the aviation sector to deliver aligned solutions.
* Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to the technology roadmap.
* Ensure compliance with NZ Government architecture frameworks, NZISM, and PS.
What You'll Bring
* Proven experience in ICT and digital transformation.
* Ability to navigate complexity and deliver meaningful, high-impact solutions.
* Strategic thinker who contributes fresh ideas and innovative approaches.
* Track record in designing and implementing complex digital solutions.
* Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure), network architecture (SD-WAN/SASE), and hybrid infrastructure.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
