Digger Operator Job Opening In Waihi – Now Hiring Tradestaff


Job description

We’re on the hunt for a skilled Digger Operator to take on physically demanding site work in the Waihi area.

If you’ve got the experience to operate safely and confidently in challenging environments, this could be a great opportunity for you.

Location: Waihi
Start date: Immediate start available
Pay rate: Based on experience (paid weekly)
Duties include:
  • Operating diggers across a range of tonnage in rugged terrain
  • Bulk earthmoving, overburden removal, and benching work
  • Trimming, shaping, and maintaining haul roads and working faces
  • Loading out dump trucks with raw material or waste rock
  • Conducting pre-start checks and basic maintenance of machinery
  • Working safely around heavy machinery and following strict safety protocols
  • To be successful, you’ll need:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience operating diggers or equivalent operating hours
  • Current WTR endorsement
  • Class 2 licence (Class 4 beneficial)
  • Physically fit and able to handle the demands of outdoor work
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Reliable transport to get to and from work
