Diesel Mechanic – East Tamaki

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Diesel Mechanic to join our friendly and supportive team in East Tamaki.

You’ll be working alongside a skilled group of mechanics in our modern workshop, supported by the wider Auckland-based team.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Maintaining vehicle records by accurately completing all job sheets for inspections, servicing, and repairs
  • Servicing and maintaining vehicles and equipment in line with company policy and vendor programmes
  • Carrying out vehicle and body/unit servicing in accordance with our Preventative Maintenance Programme
  • Promoting and maintaining safe working practices at all times

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

  • A Level 4 Heavy Diesel Trade NZQA Certificate or an equivalent international qualification recognised by NZQA as Level 4
  • Proven experience in preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs of fleet trucks
  • Preference will be given to those with experience in hydraulic systems diagnostics and maintenance and/or automotive electrical/electronic fault diagnosis
  • Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is an advantage but not essential
  • A Class 4 Driver’s Licence is a strong advantage

  • 45 hours per week (Mon–Fri), with occasional Saturday work.

    Hours: 2pm–11.30pm
  • Competitive hourly rate of $40–$43
  • Location: East Tamaki, Manukau, Auckland
