Job description

Our fast-paced Hamilton Foodservices site is currently seeking an experienced Class 2 Delivery Driver and Dispatch Support person to join the team immediately.This is a dynamic, hands-on role that combines delivery driving with dispatch coordination.
You'll be responsible for ensuring timely and safe delivery of customer orders, planning efficient delivery runs, and supporting the dispatch process.
About the Role
Immediate start, Perm full-time position
Location: Mainstreet Place, Te Rapa, Hamilton
Days: Monday to Saturday
Hours: 02:00 am – 10:00 am (finish times depend on the delivery run)
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and dispatch delivery runs in coordination with warehouse and operations staff
Safely operate Class 2 vehicles (manual transmission)
Deliver a wide range of food products across the Waikato region
Load and unload goods, ensuring items are secure and undamaged
Provide excellent customer service at all times
Monitor and report vehicle condition (e.g., fuel, maintenance, oil, WOF)
Maintain accurate delivery logs and relevant documentation
Uphold company safety standards, especially regarding transport compliance
Assist with general warehouse tasks and dispatch duties when needed
Coordinate with Loaders and drivers for regional delivery schedules
Maintain cleanliness of vehicles
What you need:
Valid Class 2 NZ driver's licence (manual driving required)
Prior experience in delivery driving and/or dispatch coordination
Good knowledge of Hamilton and the wider Waikato area is a plus
Strong communication, literacy, and numeracy skills
Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic
Physically fit – able to lift up to 25 kg
Clear criminal and driving history
Experience or knowledge of food products or ingredients preferred
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable transport to commute to site
