The opportunity


We are hiring an intermediate Data Engineer who is very enthusiastic about data to focus on building structured, high-quality data solutions which we use to evolve our data products.

In this role, you will support the Data Architecture stream in ensuring Auckland Unlimited’s strategic goals are optimized by evolving effective Enterprise Data Management using enterprise data standards for data warehousing, data lake, data management, and other corporate databases.

The key to this role is to unlock the value of data within the organization by providing expertise, platforms, and capabilities.

If you have a passion for data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

You’ll get hands-on experience with data manipulation and programming languages such as SQL, Java, and Python, and showcase your proficiency in SQL database design.

Your expertise in on-premises and Azure cloud-hosted data management platforms will be put to the test as you navigate both batch and fast-moving data paradigms.

Show off your knowledge of data warehousing applications like Oracle, PL/SQL, Microsoft SQL, and Azure Data Platform technologies.


With your deep understanding of various data modelling techniques and design principles, you'll have the chance to make a significant impact.

We value your strong creative and analytical problem-solving skills, which will be essential in interpreting and presenting data intelligence for effective decision-making.

Don't miss the chance to apply your expertise in Machine Learning, data mining, and AI principles to recognize data patterns and solve complex problems.

Previous experience with NoSQL data management platforms like MongoDB, Hadoop, Cassandra, and MapReduce is a plus.
