Job description

Customer Services & Collections Assistant
Support students and staff by maintaining library collections and delivering excellent customer service in a vibrant academic environment.
Mo te tuka | The role
Join a welcoming team in the George Forbes Memorial Library, where you'll help students and staff access the resources they need to succeed.
From managing books and serials to supporting digital content and customer service, this role is key to creating a positive learning experience.
Some tasks of the role include:
Providing friendly, efficient service at the Library Desk
Issuing and returning materials, and assisting with ID card functions
Maintaining physical and digital collections for books and serials
Supporting catalogue updates and vendor communications
Digitising and archiving university content for long-term access
Contributing to displays and resource promotions
Permanent role, 37.5 hours per week (1.0 FTE) at our Lincoln Campus.
You will have:
Experience in a library or customer-facing role
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and library databases
A courteous, helpful manner and commitment to great service
Respect for cultural diversity and university values
Ability to adapt to evolving library projects and environments
