Credit Controller

It takes a special kind of drive to keep the world moving; and due to changes within the Finance function, DSV are looking to recruit a proactive Collector with excellent communication skills to join our Credit Management team based in Goole, East Yorkshire.

KEY REQUIREMENTS


  • Ensuring that DSV Group credit management policies are applied



  • Controlling approximately 600 customer accounts who require chasing for payment



  • Contacting DSV operational colleagues to resolve problem accounts



  • Using the Companies various computer-based credit management and accounting systems



  • Collection of overdue invoices



  • Reporting on high overdue



  • Reducing the bad debt reports



  • Ensure customers are kept within credit limit



  • Keeping customer records updated



  • Escalations internally/externally



  • Reporting back to operations to confirm when payment received for specific accounts, and that goods can be released, where there are customs related invoices raised


  • SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS


  • Previous Credit Control experience necessary



  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and reliable



  • A good team player



  • Able to organise and manage their own workload



  • Able to remain calm under pressure



  • A good communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills



  • Applicants will have a detailed understanding of credit control and sales ledger accounting.


  • COMPUTER SKILLS

    Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint.

    , and other technical software is required.

    Experienced user of ERP systems, preferably SAP & FSCM

    WORK HOURS AND ENVIRONMENT

    Expected to work hours that service the UK business environment:

    Office based - 9am – 5pm – flexibility available
