About this role
The New Zealand Customs Service is seeking a Corporate Services Officer (Stored Goods) based at the Auckland Airport area, Customs - Air Cargo Inspection Facility (parking provided).
This is a permanent full-time position, working with a small team of other Corporate Services Officers, reporting to the Team Leader Stored Goods.
Hours of work are 08:00–16:30, Monday to Friday.
The Corporate Services team provides sustainable, efficient and effective corporate services within Customs.
Salary is between $66,261 and $70,609.
Responsibilities
As a Corporate Services Officer in the Stored Goods Team, you will work with a small team dedicated to the management and maintenance of stored goods.
You will have a client-centric focus with a professional attitude, high integrity, calm manner and sound judgement to ensure quality standards are maintained.
The role is dynamic, busy and varied, not fully desk-based, and will involve some lifting and standing.
Availability to work an on-call roster is required.
Holding a forklift licence is beneficial but not mandatory.
Requirements / Qualifications
Having previous experience in stored goods is beneficial but not necessarily a prerequisite.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to identify issues that require investigation and to recognise when information appears to be incorrect.
Highly organised, honest and trustworthy.
Dynamic and able to adapt as work dictates.
Ability to analyse data in spreadsheets and to self-audit one's work.
A full clean NZ Driver's Licence.

This includes criteria about residence in New Zealand and possible overseas periods requiring police certificates.
A verifiable history and security clearance suitability are required, and a clear Police record is necessary.
