Conveyance Solutions - National Lightweight Sales Engineer

Overview

Driving sales growth by leveraging technical expertise and industry knowledge to identify, qualify, and close sales opportunities for the Motion Lightweight Conveyance business nationally.

Responsibilities

  • Coach and support other members of the Motion Sales team to build MCS Lightweight product knowledge and drive enterprise value
  • Represent MCS in providing expertise in the management of large multisite accounts
  • Deliver on budgeted revenue, gross profit and market share targets; create and monitor sales promotions; participate in or manage key account negotiations, tenders, and proposals
  • Develop and maintain excellent customer and supplier relationships; work with sales, marketing, and customers to ensure strong product knowledge and application
  • Ensure operations and safety by following the Motion Code of Conduct and company policies
  • Provide sales support and conduct joint calls with the Motion Sales team; collaborate to deliver optimal outcomes
  • Collaborate with Motion Workshops to deliver superior outcomes for MCS customers

Ideal skills & experience

  • 10+ years' experience in lightweight conveyance products
  • Ability to apply technical skills to support business requirements
  • Ability to understand customer needs and expectations through industry knowledge
  • Experience in managing distribution and negotiating with distribution providers nationally
  • Experience in developing operational and performance reporting
  • Strategic and commercial acuity with demonstrated business performance improvements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently and to deadlines
  • Collaborative skills with the ability to develop and drive business plans and maintain a high level of customer focus
