This is a key leadership role where you'll be responsible for overseeing contracts and agreements, managing risk, supporting project delivery, and ensuring commercial success across a wide range of projects.Key DutiesOversee the full contract lifecycle from tendering, negotiation, and execution through to management, review, and closing.Lead project delivery, ensuring works are completed on time, within budget, and to client expectations.Provide strong financial oversight including cost controls, variations, and progress claims.Manage client, consultant, and subcontractor relationships, supporting both new and existing opportunities.Drive a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with ISO45001, ISO14001, and ISO9001 standards.Support people leadership initiatives, helping to develop capability, performance, and a culture of teamwork across operational teams.About You – ResponsibilitiesWe're seeking someone who thrives in a fast-paced civil contracting environment and can balance commercial, technical, and people leadership responsibilities.
You'll bring:A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or related field or have proven experience in a similar role in New Zealand.10+ years' demonstrable experience in contract management and commercial related activities within civil construction.Strong commercial and contractual awareness with the ability to negotiate, influence, and deliver results.Proven leadership skills, with the ability to develop teams and foster positive culture.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Full NZ Class 1 Driver Licence.We are not an accredited employer so you will need open working rights in New Zealand.Why join us?
