  • Leti - a passionate engineer from California that is leading the delivery of large scale projects that will redefine how our city's streets work.
  • Soon Teck - a chartered civil engineer who has dedicated himself to improving safety across the city for the past 40 years.
  • Sarah - a vibrant and talented young chartered accountant that is ensuring that we deliver value for money in all our endeavours.
  • Brian - an ex-mechanic that is now managing the maintenance and renewals of our city's key transport infrastructure.

  • Mel - driving changes in the way we procure and contract out our services to ensure best social outcomes for our communities.
  • Anna - originally from Israel and skilled in krav maga (just kidding - but she does keep us all on point).
  • Brad - really, really good looking (he made us say that) - originally from deepest Africa, all he does now is pay the bills and approve our leave.

  • We currently have a diverse team of around 80 staff originating from over 15 different countries, each contributing a variety of skills, life experiences and passions which we feel is a true reflection of our capital city.

    The role and you

    The Contracts Delivery Manager exists to ensure our procurement activities are aligned with the direction provided by our Commercial Partnerships Team and Waka Kotahi.

    You'll negotiate purchasing agreements and contracts, standardise our procurement practices and work with suppliers and third parties.

    Procurement at Wellington City Council also has a focus on enabling social, cultural, economic and environmental outcomes.

    You'll be someone with excellent communication skills, a great relationship builder, a deep understanding of broader outcomes (and how to acheive them) as wll as experience in procurement and contract management.

    We're also looking for someone who has good working relationships with mana whenua and organisations such as Amotai.

    The salary range for this role is $137,539 to $161,810.
