Join a dynamic Agile team as a Contract Senior Automation Tester in Auckland.
This long-term contract, commencing 1st July **** and extending from six months up to two years.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge testing frameworks and contribute to innovative projects that help New Zealanders.What You'll Do:In the capacity of Senior Automation Tester based in Auckland, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exemplary software solutions that have tangible impact.
Your daily activities will involve close collaboration with an Agile Team as you translate intricate business requirements into actionable system specifications.
You will apply your expertise across both manual and automated testing domains—spanning APIs and end-to-end scenarios—utilising advanced tools such as Rest-Assured, Cypress, Playwright, and JMeter.Business Analysis & Requirements: Work collaboratively with the Agile Team to analyse business processes, procedures and user requirements to establish comprehensive system requirementsQuality Assurance: Undertake comprehensive testing activities for software solutions, ensuring quality meets agreed specifications and requirementsDocumentation & Support: Create detailed support documentation and provide expert advice regarding applications to enable support functions to operate effectivelyProduction Support: Resolve production incidents through systematic diagnosis, testing and applying fixes for assigned applicationsWhat You'll Bring:Demonstrated proficiency in API Testing with comprehensive understanding of the API lifecycle as well as substantial experience in both manual and automated API testing environments.A minimum of five years' experience designing and maintaining sophisticated automation testing frameworks that enhance efficiency and reliability across diverse projects.Extensive practical experience developing advanced automation test cases for API testing using Rest-Assured and Cypress; familiarity with stubbing and mocking techniques is essential.Working knowledge of Playwright would be advantageous for broadening test coverage across contemporary web applications.Expertise in code analysis for white box testing purposes coupled with refined debugging skills developed through substantive real-world application.Comprehensive background in manual functional testing as well as exploratory methodologies that reveal latent issues prior to release.At least three years' hands-on experience conducting End-to-End (E2E) Testing across complex systems is required for this role's demands.Experience utilising performance testing tools such as JMeter or comparable platforms would be desirable for assessing system robustness under load.Familiarity with CI/CD tooling—particularly Jenkins—for constructing pipelines; understanding cloud technologies such as AWS; exposure to Jira, Splunk, Dynatrace, Confluence, jwt.io, or Kubernetes is considered beneficial.What sets this company apart:This organisation is widely recognised and a great place to work.
