Type of Contract: Full time Permanent

As DB’sContinuous Improvement Manager (Internal Position Title: TPM Manager), you will lead, co-ordinate, and support the implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) across the OpCo, with a focus on Waitemata, Timaru, and Tuatara Breweries.

You’ll drive the TPM strategy and maturity roadmap aligned with DB Breweries’ 3-year Master Plan, ensuring sustainable improvements through close collaboration with functional Pillar leaders.

Your role includes coaching and training brewery personnel, managing Connected Brewery initiatives and digital resources, overseeing standardised reporting and documentation, and facilitating internal and external audits.

You’ll also support Customer Service, Logistics & Planning (CSLP)’s journey toward Bronze certification, promote health and safety practices, and act as a conduit for leveraging global and regional best practices.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the TPM strategy and maturity roadmap aligned with the OpCo or Brewery’s strategic plan.

  • TPM Coaching & Auditing: Provide training and coaching on TPM systems and tools; lead internal and external audits using GSC TPM standards.

  • Connected Brewery Oversight : Manage Supply Chain Digital & Technology Specialist and drive Connected Brewery (CB) implementation, including Process Control Domain (PCD) ownership and data-driven decision-making.

  • Standardised Reporting : Ensure periodic reporting using defined standards and promote the use of standardised tools and templates.

  • TPM Training Coordination : Develop and execute TPM training plans in collaboration with functional leaders, tailored to identified skill gaps.

  • Strategic & Cultural Development : Support communication of business priorities and foster cultural and leadership improvements.

  • Global Best Practice Integration : Facilitate access to global and regional TPM resources, best practices, and coaching opportunities.

  • Health & Safety Advocacy : Promote and support DB’s Health and Safety policies, reporting hazards and incidents appropriately.

Your background and experience:

  • Tertiary qualification plus advanced training in Process Kaizen (PKE), Six Sigma Black Belt, or TQM.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in production/manufacturing/supply chain, with at least 2 years in TPM, Six Sigma, or TQM, and 2 years in change management.

  • Extensive packaging operations experience with a strong engineering or technical background.

  • Commercial mindset essential, with a focus on improving performance and productivity.

  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills across all levels—from shop floor to office.

  • Hands-on problem-solving experience, including leading initiatives and coaching in TPM/CI methodologies.
