Job description

We are looking for dynamic, energetic, and conscientious individuals that can support our Service Users living with complex injuries/disabilities within their own homes.The rewarding role of a Community Support Worker includes (but not limited to):Assisting Service Users with personal cares, home help, shopping assistance, and meal preparationsSupporting exercise programmesMoving and handling using hoists and manual transfersAssisting Service Users to access the communityDays of Work: As this is community-based work, rotating rosters would be involved including am, pm and weekend work.
Your preferred hours of work can be discussed during the recruitment process.Pay Band: $***** - $***** per hour (this is based on the Pay Equity Settlement by the Ministry of Health – hourly pay rates based on equivalency of Healthcare Qualifications assessed under Pay Equity)Job Location- Whakatane, Edgecumbe , KawerauEmployment Type:Part-Time (Up to 29 Hours) or CasualWe offer:Competitive Hourly Rates { $***** - $***** per hour (Based on Pay Equity)Flexible hoursTravel allowance as per in between travel policy (MOH guidelines)Opportunities to gain your Level 3 and Level 4 qualificationsPaid Competency TrainingsFree EAP (Employee Assistance Programme) ServicesSpecial Rates for Complex Service Users based on employer discretionThe ideal candidate would have (Candidate Pre-Requisites):Experience in personal care is required.Experience in Complex Care (Bowel and SPC Cares) and Challenging Behaviours would be preferredA Level 3 or Level 4 qualification in Health and Wellbeing would be an advantage, however, someone looking at making a career in the Healthcare Industry would also be considered for this roleAccess to your own car and ability to drive Independently ( a Full New Zealand Driver's License is a must)Flexibility to work on a roster (including weekends)Great communication skillsLegal rights to work in New ZealandAbout Us:Healthvision is a provider of Specialist Homecare, Community Nursing and Rehabilitation services throughout New Zealand.
