We are currently seeking experienced and qualified Support Workers for our 24/7 spinal injury complex care service user.
Responsibilities may Include:
- Working closely with our service user to provide support as they go about their daily tasks
- Assisting with personal cares (showering, bathing)
- Assisting with household management and meal preparation
- Assisting with accessing the community
- Bowel, Bladder, and Catheter cares
- Moving and handling hoists and manual transfers
- Medication support
We are looking for dedicated support workers that are comfortable covering the following shifts; of 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm, 10pm - 6am, between Monday - Sunday.

The candidate would have (Candidate Pre-Requisites):
- Understanding of spinal injury care protocols and procedures is advantageous
- Ideally prior personal care experience is preferred
- Previous experience in complex cares (for example bowel & catheter cares) is preferred (comprehensive training will be provided)
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently when required
- A Level 3 or Level 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification is beneficial (comprehensive training can be provided)
- Access to a car and ability to drive independently (a full New Zealand Driver's License is a must)
- Flexibility to work on a rotating roster
- Legal right to work in New Zealand is a must.
- Ability to drive a mobility van

- Pay Band: $24.13 - $30.78 per hour (This is based on the Pay Equity Settlement 2017 – hourly pay rates based on equivalency of Healthcare Qualifications assessed under Pay Equity).
