This is a 12-month fixed-term position, with the possibility of extension, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to a nationally significant infrastructure initiative.This position blends contract management expertise with strategic commercial insight, ensuring value delivery, risk mitigation, and strong stakeholder engagement throughout the contract lifecycle.
It also requires a proactive approach to problem solving and dispute resolution, along with the ability to navigate competing priorities while maintaining focus on contractual compliance and commercial outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesContract Administration & Risk Management: Manage contract documentation, variations, and claims with a focus on commercial impact.
Identify and mitigate contractual risks while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks.Stakeholder & Supply Chain Engagement: Foster collaborative and commercially aligned relationships with clients, suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless communication, mutual value, and consistent delivery against project objectivesProcess Improvement & Standardisation: Contribute to the refinement of contract management systems, templates, and workflows to enhance efficiency and consistency across the project.Reporting & Communication: Provide clear, commercially focused reporting to senior leadership and project teams.
Act as a key liaison for resolving contractual and financial issues with third parties.Required Skills And CompetenciesExperience in civil engineering, infrastructure maintenance, or large-scale construction projects.Strong understanding of contractual obligations and frameworks, with proven experience in ensuring compliance with notice requirements, timeframes, and procedural standards.
Applies strategic thinking to leverage the most effective contractual mechanisms, balancing risk, commercial advantage, and operational outcomes.Experience with PPP's would be highly desirable.Strong commercial acumen, with proven ability to interpret financial data and drive valueDemonstrated experience in contract negotiation, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.High attention to detail and proficiency in MS Office and contract management tools.A law degree (postgraduate qualifications in commercial or legal disciplines are highly regarded)As a company that values diversity as a source of talent, we work to foster an inclusive environment that promotes respect, belonging and engagement so that all people can participate on an equal opportunity basis.
