Location: Wellington Regional Hospital and other locations as required
Contract: Permanent, Part Time (0.5 FTE / 20 hours (ideally across 4 to 5 days per week)

About the Role
We are excited to offer this opportunity for a registered Dietitian to join our district wide specialist cancer allied health team.
Primarily based at Wellington Regional Hospital, this role will provide dietetic services to patients with bowel cancer across the continuum of their care, including prior to and during surgical and oncological treatment.
The role holder will be responsible for assessing the dietetic needs of patients under their care, reviewing treatment plans and supporting patients to manage the impact of their bowel cancer treatment.
The role holder will also be responsible for developing, implementing and reviewing an evidence-based clinical care pathway that meets the holistic needs of their patients, and supports the overall aims of the wider team and service.
They will work closely with other oncology dietitians and MDT members to ensure that processes are efficient, while still supporting the needs of the client group.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop skills in this clinical area, as well as building experience in quality improvement and guideline or pathway development
About the Team/Service Location
You will be joining a friendly, dynamic and highly motivated group of allied health professionals who are dedicated to improving the health outcomes of those living with cancer.
We value collaborative working, and support other professions and services to grow their skills and capabilities, as well as providing direct support to people diagnosed with cancer and their whānau.
This role is primarily based at Wellington Regional Hospital, but may work from other locations as the service and patient need requires.
About you
Working with a diverse group of patients, you'll demonstrate excellent clinical and communication skills, and have a flexible approach to problem solving.
You will have the ability to quickly build strong working relationships with patients, whānau, and the wider multi-disciplinary team, and have excellent time management and prioritisation skills.

You will:
* Be a registered dietitian and hold a current New Zealand Annual Practicing Certificate * Have a range of experience of working with people from diverse backgrounds * Have a commitment to and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in health care, and a willingness to work positively to improve health outcomes for Māori * Have experience working Māori & Pacific populations (desirable) * Have some experience working with people affected by cancer (desirable) * Have some experience working in a health care setting (desirable)Working at Health New Zealand
