We are responsible for providing high-quality, customer-focused services to all our customers within Te Tumu Herenga and the wider University community, enabling them to successfully negotiate across a wide range of critical tasks.
This includes connecting students to self-service options and referring them to specialist staff and services as required along all steps of the student journey.This is a full-time role and is based at the Davis Law Library, with the following hours and days of work:Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday – 12pm – 8pmSaturday / Sunday – 9am – 5pm37.5 hours per week.The salary range for this role is $54,405 - $58,000 per annum, prorated according to experience and qualifications.We are looking for candidates who understand that customer service is not a department, it is an attitude.
You should demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving, IT and customer service skills, and the ability to interact with people from various backgrounds.
Your passion for great customer service should be demonstrated in the pride you take in your work, and your ability to exercise good judgement when it comes to effectively identifying needs and resolving or escalating queries.To be successful in this role, you will display excellent communication skills, a helpful and supportive approach, excellent IT skills, and the ability to excel when working independently, and as part of a team.As we are a large and complex organisation, relevant experience in the tertiary sector will be considered favourably, or experience in a similarly complex environment.The University of Auckland is New Zealand's leading University and maintains significant computational, laboratory, and analytic facilities.
