Full time, Fixed term, Start Date: 28/01/2026, End Date: 17/12/2026 (Flexible working arrangements for 2026)

Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher

English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts

Māori immersion teachers allowance (MITA)

We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about children, learning and has a deep understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum, and thrives in a collaborative environment.

We’re proud of our strong community spirit, beautiful environment, and commitment to nurturing lifelong learners.

Our Strategic Plan is focused on a strong localised curriculum, Mana Ōrite me te Mātauranga Māori, collaborative teaching and learning, student agency and models of inclusive practice.

We operate within collaborative classrooms, and uphold Level 3 Māori Language Programme across the school.

The successful applicant will demonstrate a collaborative approach, the ability to build strong relationships with whānau, a belief in being a learner themselves and contribute to a friendly and caring staffroom culture.

We are seeking a teacher who:

  • Is energetic and motivated, with proven success in accelerating student achievement and improving educational outcomes for all learners.

  • Has proven skills in te reo and tikanga Māori, commitment to Te Ao Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi that is actualised in their pedagogical practice.

  • Has evidence and successful experience in understanding and managing students with a diverse range of learning needs.

  • Is a great team player with a sense of humour and who enjoys strong relationships with students, staff and whānau.

  • Demonstrates resilience and values community.

  • Is committed to working collaboratively and contributing fully to school life.

  • Has experience with Structured Literacy and s trengths in ICT.

  • Skilled in teaching through personalising learning and fostering student agency.
